If you are new to Affiliate Marketing, and have come across more than one program that promises to make you "dreams come true", here are tips on how to choose an Affiliate Marketing course that is right for you..
If you are new to this field, this is you. You are standing at the cross roads and huge trailers of information are bombarding you from all directions. With every new trailer that hits you, you end up more and more informed, but confused about what to believe and what not to.
You are so overloaded with information, that you don’t know what can be your first step. You stay right where you are, too afraid that what you do might not be better than the next best thing.
I know, because I have been in your shoes. I am still a beginner at affiliate marketing and do not have big screenshots of my big earnings to show you. That is not what this article is about.
This is my effort to help you clear some of the fog. I have passed the phase of confusion and difficult decisions and luckily made some good discoveries and I will tell you how to choose an Affiliate Marketing course that is right for you.
The first step to choosing an Affiliate Marketing course that is right for you is deciding whether you need a program after all. If you are anything like me, you need to have an organized system to help you learn. By organized system I mean a syllabus, an action plan. I might look for information all over the web but not all of it may be legit.
Second, I like to have support, in that I like to know that should I have any questions, I can ask someone who will give me an informed answer.
Third, I need to be part of a community. I like knowing that I have people just like me and some a lot more advanced than me, just a buddy post away, to share my trials, and achievements with. Also to pick me up when I want to give up. If that is so, then you should think about investing in a good course.
Think about it this way, if you take a class at the community college this summer, it will cost you about $300 in tuition and another $75-$150 in textbooks. Plus the gas etc. After that class, will you have any guarantees of making the kind of money that first attracted you into Affiliate Marketing?
A good Affiliate Marketing course will cost you much less but will teach you what you can use right now. Remember, I am NOT discouraging you from going to college or finishing your education, I am just using this example to put the cost in perspective.
The next step is to evaluate which ones online are legit and which ones are scams. That in itself is a big task. The best way to do this is research. You can go to forums where people talk about these things.
Now beware, some people are just trying to sell you the product they are “reviewing”. Don’t trust reviews that go on and on and on and do not compare a couple of products for you.
One of the best ways to find out if a product is going to help you is to see if you can find some videos by the person offering that products. These videos should not be all about what they “will” teach you “if” you buy their product. People who really have a good product are not afraid to give away some of their knowledge for free. If you find a video that teaches you something instead of ‘promising’ to teach you something, this is probably a good product. Plus, watching the video will also let you experience this program’s teaching method and find out if that is right for you.
Now there are many programs out there, and the challenge is choosing an Affiliate Marketing course that is right for you and also legit. If you can learn well on your own and are self motivated, you can go for an eBook or a program like ‘One Week Marketing’. But if you need a community and you want to have a forum to ask questions and read other people’s discussions then you are better off going with a place like Wealthy Affiliate.
