Its Christmas Party Time!

Submitted By: Mithul Mistry

The festive time of year is approaching us very fast and if you haven’t already organised you Christmas work party you’re in for some serious work so that you don’t disappoint your staff, colleagues etc. You may find by now that a lot of venues, restaurants, hotels and the like are jam packed for Christmas and may struggle to find anything. In fact it is not just about finding anything it is about a place that provides good drink, food and atmosphere almost to the respect that you in a number of ways rewarding and saying thank you to all members of staff for their hard work.
Ok so it sounds positive and negative but it’s not all bad you still have the opportunity to plan the perfect event for your company and show your staff that essentially you care. So where do you start? Ask your staff what they would like to do, would they like a night out? A stay in a hotel or a day out somewhere? Remember as much as this is a Christmas celebration this is very much something your staff want to do and will enjoy doing. Work this out then scour the internet for places close by or places that you and your staff can travel to with ease.
Most work based Christmas events take place in hotels or restaurants where staff will be given free drinks and food for the night to enjoy themselves with the people they work with on a daily basis. Generally it should be quite easy to phone around hotels and restaurants to see if they have any openings for you and your team. You need organise numbers dress code and menus and get everyone’s order in place. Sounding a little worrying yet, are you overwhelmed by all these decisions and the work it’s going to take organise such an event?
There are by all means a lot of considerations to make and you may in all respects be a very busy in your own role to handle such duties and this is by no means to be taken lightly as it can disappoint the most important people in your business, your STAFF. There are people out there that can handle this for you like event management companies or event planners or even simply small party planners. There are a whole host of options out there and a lot of opportunities that an event management company could bring to you. First off event management companies will have recognised venues or venues they have worked with before to offer you a great deal on what you require.
An event management company can take care of all arrangements for you from venues, catering, decor to drinks with the proprietors of the venue itself. They can also deal with any special requirements like chocolate, fountains, DJs and other little bits to make that much more special for you and your staff. Good luck planning for your Christmas party this year, remembers it a time to enjoy yourself.
